Now that I have several of the acquistion issues better understood and some of them completely eliminated, I am spending time on the processing. I use Deep Sky Stacker for the initial stacking process primarily followed by final adjustments to colors, brightness and contrast in Photoshop CS2.
I did more work on the pic posted in the July 7 journal entry of the North American Nebula using dark point, light point and neutrals that were significantly different from the previous pic. I am posting the results below.
And the following images are rework of previous pictures using better Photoshop processing techniques.
This is the Sagittarius region consisting of sixteen 15 second subs at ISO 1600 and lens at 18mm. The camera was on a fixed tripod with no tracking.
