Very clear skies and few mosquitoes last night made for a great night out with my telescope. I took pictures of the full moon. I made a collage
of the 4 best pictures from the past week, showing the moon waxing from quarter to full.
I also viewed Jupiter and its 4 Galilean moons. Io and Ganymede were very close to each other. Callisto was pretty far off on the same side. Europa was by itself on the other side. I spotted the Northern and Southern Equatorial belts.
I tried to do a little star hopping to look for some other objects, but the full moon made that pretty impossible. I love asterisms and open clusters, and wanted to observe the Coathanger for the first time, but there was too much light!
